Terms & Conditions

1.1 “User”, “you”, or “your” means any individual who accesses or uses the Platform.

1.2 “Review” means any rating, written experience, comment, or other content submitted about a rental property, landlord, or rental experience.

1.3 “Evidence” means any document, screenshot, photograph, chat log, rental agreement, payment proof, or other material uploaded in support of a Review.

1.4 “Content” means Reviews, Evidence, comments, and any other material submitted by Users.

1.5 “Account” means a registered user account on the Platform.

2.1 You must be at least 18 years of age to create an Account or submit a Review.

2.2 By using the Platform, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms under applicable Indian law.

3.1 Account creation is mandatory to submit a Review.

3.2 You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it updated.

3.3 You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your Account.

3.4 You must notify us immediately at contact@rentremedy.in of any unauthorised use of your Account or any other security breach.

3.5 We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any Account that violates these Terms or any other Platform policy.

4.1 You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms and all applicable Indian laws.

4.2 You are solely responsible for all Content you submit.

4.3 You must not submit Content that is false, misleading, defamatory, obscene, harassing, discriminatory, or that violates the privacy or intellectual property rights of any person.

5.1 All Reviews must be based on genuine, first-hand rental experiences.

5.2 You must have been a tenant (or an authorised representative of the tenant) of the property or landlord you are reviewing.

5.3 Supporting Evidence may be required and will be used solely for internal verification purposes.

6.1 Submission of knowingly false, fabricated, or misleading Reviews is strictly prohibited.

6.2 Such conduct may result in immediate Account termination and may expose you to legal action.

7.1 You must not post Content that is defamatory, constitutes hate speech, incites violence, or is otherwise illegal under Indian law, including the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

8.1 We reserve the absolute right to review, moderate, refuse, edit (solely for formatting or privacy reasons), or remove any Content at our sole discretion, with or without prior notice.

8.2 Moderation is currently performed manually by our team.

9.1 We may reject or remove a Review if it:

(a) lacks sufficient authenticity or supporting Evidence;

(b) violates these Terms or our Content & Review Policy;

(c) contains personal data of third parties without consent; or

(d) is spam, duplicate, or irrelevant.

9.2 Once a Review is published, Users cannot edit or delete it.

10.1 We may temporarily suspend or permanently terminate your Account, with or without prior notice, if:

(a) you violate these Terms or any other Platform policy;

(b) we suspect fraudulent activity;

(c) you repeatedly submit prohibited Content; or

(d) your conduct reasonably appears to harm the Platform, other Users, or third parties.

10.2 Upon termination, your right to access the Platform ceases immediately. Published Reviews may remain visible at our discretion, subject to valid data deletion requests under our Privacy Policy.

11.1 The Platform, including its design, text, graphics, logos, software, and all related intellectual property, is owned by or licensed to RentRemedy.

11.2 You retain ownership of the Content you submit.

11.3 By submitting Content, you grant RentRemedy a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and transferable licence to use, reproduce, modify (only for formatting or privacy), publish, display, and distribute such Content on the Platform and in related promotional materials.

12.1 All Evidence uploaded is treated as strictly confidential and is used solely for internal verification purposes.

12.2 Evidence is never made publicly available on the Platform unless you have given explicit prior written consent.

13.1 The Platform is owned and operated by RentRemedy (Prince Kumar Priyadarshi, sole proprietor).

13.2 The Platform may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party sites.

14.1 Reviews and related information on the Platform reflect the personal opinions and experiences of individual Users.

14.2 We do not warrant or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any Review, rating, Deposit Safety score, Trust Score, or other information displayed on the Platform.

15.1 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RentRemedy and its proprietor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Platform.

15.2 Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Platform shall not exceed INR 1,000 (One Thousand Indian Rupees).

16.1 You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RentRemedy and its proprietor from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of:

(a) your Content;

(b) your violation of these Terms; or

(c) your violation of any third-party rights or applicable law.

17.1 We shall not be liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, government action, fire, floods, accidents, strikes, or shortages of transportation, facilities, fuel, energy, labour, or materials.

18.1 These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

18.2 The competent courts in the National Capital Region (Delhi NCR) shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform.

19.1 We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on the Platform with a revised Last Updated date.

19.2 Continued use of the Platform after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
